Dabur on Tuesday said it was looking at more acquisitions in the personal and healthcare segments, both in the domestic and international markets, to achieve a revenue target of Rs.5,000 crore by 2011-12.

“In the last five years, we have done four major acquisitions, both in India and abroad. We are looking at more acquisitions, mainly in health and personalcare segment, to increase our portfolio as well as our reach. We are targeting a revenue of Rs.5,000 crore in the next fiscal, while this year we hope to clock Rs.4,000 crore,” Dabur India Chief Executive Officer Sunil Duggal told journalists here.

Dabur also signed Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha as the new brand ambassador of the firm's newly acquired brand Fem. “Fem has been the pioneer in bleach category in India for more than two decades now and enjoys over 55 per cent share in the segment,” said Dabur India Executive Vice-President (Marketing-Personal Care) Vikas Mittal.

In January 2011, Dabur made its second overseas acquisition by buying out the U.S.-based personal care firm Namaste Group for $100 million, while in September last, it completed the acquisition of Turkish personal care firm Hobi Kozmetik Group for $69 million.
