BGR energy bags Rs. 1,633 cr order for power project

Power equipment supplier BGR Energy Systems on Thursday said that it has bagged order worth Rs 1,633.71 crore for construction of thermal power project.

The company has been awarded the balance of plant contract, or construction of all aspects of the plant including designing, engineering and manufacturing, for 2x500 MW Marwa Thermal Power Project, Chhattisgarh, BGR Energy said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The scope of work also includes erection of equipment, commissioning and guarantee for the coal—based thermal power project, the filing added.

The company’s current order book is over Rs 12,500 crore, the filing added.
