Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has posted a 36 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 69.74 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012, against Rs. 51.27 crore in the same period in the previous year. Total income has increased to Rs. 781.46 crore from Rs. 645.66 crore in the year-ago period. The healthcare services and the pharmacy segments contributed significantly to the turnover and profits. During the quarter, the company has allotted 13.82 lakh equity shares of Rs. 5 each to International Finance Corporation, Washington, at a price of Rs. 302.50 per share upon conversion of foreign currency convertible bonds amounting to $7.5 million
