Apollo Hospitals Enterprise has posted a net profit of Rs. 83.24 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs. 55.76 crore in the same period in the previous year.

Total income rose to Rs. 850.69 crore from Rs. 706.13 crore in the year-ago period. During the quarter, the company allotted 32.77 lakh equity shares of Rs. 5 each to Dr. Prathap C.
