Amrolia is new CEO of Chennai Business School

J. N Amrolia has become the new Chief Executive Officer of Chennai Business School (CBS). He is also the chairman of HR Varsity and member of the Governing Council at CBS. Founded in 2006, CBS is the first management institution in Chennai to be run by industry professionals.

Mr. Amrolia has been actively involved in the development of HR (human resources) professionals for over three decades. He earlier served as Executive Director (HR) of Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hindujas.

Mr. Amrolia is associated with a number of industry and professional bodies. He has chaired various committees for the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). He has also held the position of President for the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) and the Employer’s Federation of Southern India (EFSI). He is also on the advisory boards of several companies.

An economics graduate from Bombay University, he holds a Master’s Degree in Personnel Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Bombay, and a Diploma in Systems Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Bombay University.
