Afcons-led team lands $290 m ONGC deal

A consortium led by Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. (a Shapoorji Pallonji group company) has been awarded a Heera Development process platform contract by ONGC, valued at $290 million.

The other members of this consortium are: Technip KT India (Part of a global conglomerate Technip, France) and THHE Malaysia.

Sandeep Desai, Vice-President, (IT) Afcons Infrastructure, confirmed the deal.

The EPIC (engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning) contract would be completed in about 28 months. Major fabrication work would be undertaken at PTSE yard in Vietnam and NPCC yard in Abu Dhabi.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), Japan, is the supplier of gas compression system, said a statement issued on behalf of the consortium.
