Cisco on Tuesday launched Network Convergence System (NCS), which will help service providers simplify operations, handle growing volumes of data and voice traffic and offer better services to consumers. “NCS is a powerful solution for service providers who are looking to create robust networks, data centres and applications... This will provide a competitive edge to service providers in India who are currently grappling with multiple challenges,” Sanjay Rohatgi, Managing Director, Service Provider Sales, Cisco India and SAARC, said. By deploying this solution, service providers could reduce the total cost of data handling by up to 45 per cent, he said, adding with such cost deduction in managing networks, they could further invest in services and network upgradation.
