The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Thursday said it was gathering information on the issue of alleged cartelisation by domestic airlines on fixing fares and would soon take a call on whether to probe the matter.

CCI Chairman Ashok Chawla said they had taken note of the statement made by Captain Gopinath recently about cartelisation and had asked Gopinath to share whatever information he had on the subject. “ He has asked for a meeting with me. We are awaiting further inputs from him ,” Mr. Chawla said.
