The auction for 3G spectrum continued for the second day on Saturday where the provisional winning price for pan-India licence stood at Rs. 4,085.23 crore, which is marginally up against Friday's winning bid of Rs. 3,913.81 crore.
Bidding on Monday
A total of five rounds of bidding took place on Saturday, taking the total number of rounds so far to 10. The bidding will now resume on Monday.
On Saturday, there were marginal increments in bids for all the 22 telecom circles, except for six circles. Interestingly, there were no bidders for Orissa, Assam, and Jammu and Kashmir circles, while bid remained unchanged for Bihar (Rs. 31.50 crore), Himachal Pradesh and North East (Rs. 30 crore each).
Provisional winning bid was again the highest for Delhi at Rs. 392.31 crore; followed by Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu (Rs. 381.13 crore each); Mumbai, Gujarat and Karnataka (Rs. 377.36 crore each); Rajasthan (Rs. 144.54 crore); Kolkata, Uttar Pradesh East and West (Rs. 142.90 crore each); Kerala (Rs. 141.49 crore); Madhya Pradesh (Rs. 140.41 crore); Haryana (Rs. 135.99 crore); and West Bengal and Punjab (Rs. 122.41 crore each).
