Axis Bank recommends Rs. 12 per share

Axis Bank has reported a 38.5 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 2,514,5 crore in the 12 months ended March 31, 2010, against Rs. 1,815.36 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. Net interest income earned was higher by 36 per cent at Rs. 5,004.49 crore against Rs. 3,686.21 crore. The bank has recommended a dividend of Rs. 12 per share for the year ended March 31, 2010. In the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2010, the bank has registered a net profit of Rs 764.87 crore against Rs. 581.45 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year, a growth of 31.55 per cent.
