Amara Raja to set up Digital World City

The Amara Raja Group of companies has announced the setting up of a ‘Digital World City' at an investment of Rs.250 crore in the next 12-18 months on a 500-acre site in Chittoor district allotted by the State Government. It had invested Rs.750 crore in the past 25 years in its seven companies and targets a turnover of $2 billion by 2015, said Group Chairman Ramachandra N. Galla, after unveiling its new corporate identity and logo marking the completion of its silver jubilee at a press conference here on Monday.

He said the Digital City was being planned as the most attractive destination for companies in electronics and related sectors and would become the country's largest integrated electronics manu- facturing park.
