Airtel to sell iPhone 3GS

Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said it would start selling Apple's iPhone 3GS from March 26.

Priced at Rs. 35,500 for 16GB memory card and Rs. 41,500 for 32GB card, the new iPhone comes with longer battery life, three-megapixel autofocus camera and hands-free voice control system. However, Airtel will continue to sell iPhone 3G with 8GB card at Rs. 29,500.

Customers of iPhone 3GS will get 500 MB of free data every month for a year.

Combining the strength of the Airtel brand and network with the great user interface of iPhone 3GS, we are happy to bring to our customers an experience that will take mobile communications to a whole new level,” Bharti Airtel President (Mobile Services) Atul Bindal said in a statement.
