Even as the city is in the grip of a music fever with a host of Sabhas organising carnatic concerts all through the day in this Tamil month of Margazhi , a new collaborative tune is set for the sale of musical instruments.

This collaboration has brought together Yamaha Music India, the world’s largest conglomerate in the musical instruments industry, and Musee Musical, one of the oldest and most reputed music retailers in the South.

As part of this alliance, Musee Musical here will house Yamaha Music Station. “The Yamaha music station at Musee Musical is a step toward ensuring that the musicians of Chennai will not just settle for a Yamaha musical instrument, as a complete ensemble of instruments will be available at Musee Musical,” said a release quoting Kishore Das, Chief Executive Officer of Musee Musical.

“Housing the soul-touching and aesthetically-designed musical instruments, ranging from guitars to drums and keyboards along with a vast range of accessories, the store will tempt aspiring musicians, hobbyists and music bands. Whether it is your desire for learning music or composing music, Yamaha Music Station is a perfect musical paradise to fulfil your quest,” he added.

“It is a tremendous combo — of musical instruments school and store. And, it will attract customers from all sections and age groups, who wish to fulfil their quest for music,” said Hitoshi Mochizuki, Managing Director of Yamaha Music India, while inaugurating the music station.

Exploring the Indian market with an aggressive associate such as Musee Musical had been an enthralling journey and a huge commercial success, he said.

“With their strong presence and legacy in music instruments sales, service, Yamaha Music India and Musee Musical have plans to take western music to the households across South India,’’ he added.
