Wyndham Hotel Group in expansion mode

Wyndham Hotel Group, a leading name in the hospitality business operating hotels worldwide under the Ramada, Wyndham Grand, Dream and Days Hotel brands, will add 26 hotels to its portfolio in the country over the next few years.

These properties, many of which are under construction, together would add 3,000 rooms. At present, the Group has 17 hotels, with a total of 1,800 rooms, under the different brands in the country. The hotel company has over 7,340 hotels and 6.27 lakh rooms in 66 countries.

Wyndham Hotel Group Executive Vice-President and Managing Director Duane Elledge said the growth potential for the hospitality business was significant.

Regional Vice-President-Indian Ocean Deepika Arora added Wyndham had offering for every location in the country, including at Jamshedpur, Asansol, Shirdi and Tirupathi. The senior level executives of Wyndham were interacting with presspersons on Friday at the opening of Ramada Chennai Egmore.

A release said it was Ramada’s first operational hotel in Chennai, and owned by Ansari Estate Pvt. Ltd.
