“We are one of the first companies he has invested. It was a very proud moment for us. Basically, it was not the money coming from Mr. Ratan Tata, it was a strong validation of the path we have taken and approach we have taken. It is very exciting for us,” said Gaurav Singh Kushwaha, Founder and CEO, Bluestone.

“We approach him very often and we approach when we have any query or doubts about the business and anything related to it. He is a person generally approachable. He does not interfere in any of the business model. The communication most of the time comes from our side as we need more guidance. I interact with him once in very quarter. Once we met in Bengaluru and twice we had meeting in Mumbai. We would not like to disclose the investment he has made in our company. But it is a small investment, when compared to the investment happening in e-commerce sector. More than the money he has invested, we take the guidance from him. The only brand which has been able to create a mark in jewellery space is Tanishq and he was the person behind that. He is veteran from the industry and it is very good for us to have him,” he said.
