UltraTech Cement Q4 net up 15 pc

UltraTech Cement, on Wednesday, reported a 15 per cent growth in net profit at Rs.838 crore for the fourth quarter of 2013-14. Net sales were up 8.2 per cent at Rs.5,832 crore while operating profit declined by 4 per cent to Rs.1,329 crore (Rs.1,383 crore).

Cement and clinker sales of grey cement was up 9 per cent at 12.18 million tonnes while for white cement and wall care putty it was at 3.29 lakh tonnes (2.92 lakh tonnes).

Dividend

For 2013-14, the company reported a lower net profit of Rs.2,144 crore (Rs.2,655 crore) on flat net sales of Rs.20,078 crore (Rs.20,023 crore). Operating profit declined to Rs.4,147 crore (Rs.4,980 crore). The board recommended a dividend of 90 per cent.
