TCS hits $100 billion market capitalisation

Tata Consultancy Services on Monday crossed the $100 billion mark in terms of market capitalisation.

On BSE, shares of the software major rose 4% or ₹142.60 during the morning session to touch a new all time high of ₹3,549, which pegs the market capitalisation at ₹6.78 lakh crore or a little over $100 billion.

Incidentally, TCS remained the top gainer among the Sensex pack for the second consecutive session. On Friday, it had gained 6.76% to close at ₹3406.40.

The shares have been on an upswing ever since the company reported a 3.8% quarter-on-quarter growth in fourth-quarter revenue at ₹32,075 crore.

The gains on Monday came even as the benchmark Sensex was up only 0.43% or 148 points to trade at 34,564 during the morning session.
