Tata Power names Praveer Sinha as CEO

To oversee power major’s expansion

Tata Power has appointed Praveer Sinha as the firm’s new chief executive officer and managing director with effect from May 1 to oversee its next phase of expansion.

Mr. Sinha is currently the CEO and managing director of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, a public-private partnership between Tata Power and the Delhi government, that supplies power to more than seven million people in north and northwest Delhi.

3 decades’ experience

Mr. Sinha has more than three decades of experience in the power sector and has been credited with the setting up of greenfield and brownfield power plants in India and abroad, the company said in a statement.

“I look forward to working with all our stakeholders and employees to take this company [to] its next stage of growth,” Mr. Sinha said on his appointment.
