Surana Ventures’ bid lowest in SPV pump sets tender

Surana Ventures Ltd has emerged the lowest bidder in a tender floated for solar photovoltaic water pump sets in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd (NREDCAP) has issued a letter of acceptance for entering into the rate contract agreement, the company said on Tuesday.

In a regulatory filing, the company said its bid was the lowest for 5 HP AC model SPV Pump sets. The tender is for supply, installation and commissioning of 4,000 such sets in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana under the rate contract system. The total value is Rs.200 crore. The tender was floated on September 30.

The contract will be for turnkey procurement, EPC and maintenance for a period of five years. Managing Director Narender Surana, speaking to The Hindu, said the company expected to get 25-30 per cent of the contract. It would be sourcing the pumps from a list of manufacturers approved by the government.
