SunEdison launches water pumps

Taking aim at the agriculture market, solar technology provider SunEdison has launched a solar photovoltaic-based water pump. The water pump, which is intended for use in rural environments, is available in various horsepower variants.

The pump, which will cost around Rs. 6 lakh, will increase crop yield without dependence on expensive diesel, said Pashupathy Gopalan, President, SunEdison, Asia Pacific, GCC and South Africa.
