Sun TV to pay Rs. 2 final dividend

Sun TV Network has reported a rise in its standalone revenues at Rs. 1,817.62 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013, against Rs. 1,757.37 crore in the previous financial year. The net profit after tax stood at Rs. 683.34 crore against Rs. 694.65 crore. On a consolidated basis, revenues were up by 4.1 per cent at Rs. 1,923 crore against Rs., 1,847.17 crore, and the net profit after tax at Rs. 709.56 crore against Rs. 692.91 crore. The company has announced a final dividend of Rs. 2 per share of face value of Rs. 5.

With the interim of Rs.7.50 per share already paid, the total dividend works out to 9.50 per share.

Orchid Pharma

Orchid Pharma has reported a loss of Rs. 132.27 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013, against a profit of Rs. 20.55 crore in the same period in the previous year. Revenue for the fourth quarter was sharply down at Rs. 268.16 crore against Rs. 490.78 crore. Revenue for the 12-months ended March 31, 2013, stood at Rs. 1,269.46 crore against Rs. 1,764.64 crore in the previous accounting period. The company reported a net loss after tax at Rs. 275.37 crore compared to a net profit of Rs 103.11 crore. It has extended its financial year by three months to June 30, 2013.

Arvind Remedies

Arvind Remedies has registered a 52 per cent rise in its net sales at Rs. 664 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013 against Rs. 436 crore in the previous financial year. The net profit has more than doubled to Rs. 40.61 crore from Rs. 19 crore. For the quarter ended March 31, 2013, net sales rose by 65 per cent to Rs. 173.98 crore from Rs. 105.60 crore. The net profit was substantially higher at Rs. 12.41 crore against Rs. 45 lakh.

Dr Arvind B Shah, Managing Director and CEO stated in a release that the board of directors has decided to demerge the company’s Irangattukottai unit into a wholly-owned subsidiary, Arvind Wellness Ltd. (AWL).
