State Bank gets new Managing Director

State Bank of India (SBI), on Saturday, said the government had appointed Arundhati Bhattacharya as Managing Director of the bank.

Prior to this, Ms. Bhattacharya was the Managing Director of SBI Capital, the merchant banking arm of the bank, SBI said in a statement. With over three decades of experience at SBI, Ms. Bhattacharya has undertaken various assignments spanning credit, forex, treasury and retail operations.
