Snapdeal launches online education category

Online marketplace Snapdeal on Tuesday announced foray into services space with the launch of ‘online learning and education’ category.

The platform will enable consumers to access a wide assortment of test preparation material, certificate courses, classroom training and online courses, the company said, adding this will include preparing for the civil services entrance examination, certification in Java, Microsoft or wealth management, among others.

Brands such as Edukart, Simplilearn, Meritnation, EasySkillz, Practice Guru and Test Funda have already listed their e-learning packages on the site.

Rishabh Arora, AVP, Snapdeal.com said, “With this initiative, we have brought together many major brands of online courses on one platform. Through the launch of this category, Snapdeal is also enabling large and small organizations who have great e-learning content, but currently lack the nationwide distribution…”
