SMEs driving growth: Adobe

Software maker Adobe on Thursday said India was among the fastest growing markets for the company and going forward it expected the growth momentum to continue, driven by growth in the small and medium enterprises segment.

 “India for us is among the fastest growing regions and we are very optimistic about the growth in the SMB segment. Besides, we are targeting consumers like students, teachers and photographers, among others, to adopt CC offerings,’’ Adobe Managing Director South Asia Umang Bedi told reporters after launching the 2014 version of its Creative Cloud suite here.

 The U.S.-based company also announced the availability of new Creative Cloud Photography plan that brings together Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 — which have been very popular with photographers — priced at Rs.499 a month.

 The new plan is aimed at those who want to manage and edit their photos on the cloud and will help the company reach out to more number of individual consumers.

 Along with the software release, Adobe also announced its first-ever hardware products — a stylus, called Ink, and a digital ruler, named, Slide — aimed at professional users. However, the dates for the launch in the Indian market were not disclosed.
