Samsung expects Galaxy S4 to make 15-20% of its smartphone sale

Samsung Electronics, on Tuesday, launched two new hand phone devices, namely, Galaxy S4 Zoom and Galaxy S4 Mini, here to complete its popular Galaxy S4 family of smartphones.

While the Zoom combined the latest Galaxy S4 smartphone with advanced photographic capabilities, the Mini was compact, sleek and comes with high performance, the company said.

Both devices would be available across the country from July 15.

The Zoom is priced at Rs.29,900, while the Mini is priced at Rs.27,900.

“As people wish to capture and share their moments in the highest quality possible, and the Galaxy Zoom fulfils this need by combining the advanced functionality and connectivity of the Galaxy S4 with the high-quality photographic experience you’d expect from a compact camera,” Manu Sharma, Director, Samsung Mobile, said after launching the two devices.

“The Mini, on the other hand, provides consumers with a new way to enjoy the flagship Galaxy S4 experience,” Mr. Sharma said. The Zoom is mounted with a high-powerful camera that can enable the user to take pictures even while talking.

On the other hand, the Mini is easy to carry, and one can operate it with one hand. Though compact, the Mini boasts of powerful performance and its 1.7GHz dual core processor allows users to quickly and easily perform data intensive tasks.
