RBI, Central Bank of Sri Lanka ink pact for information exchange

The Reserve Bank has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Bank of Sri Lanka for cooperation and exchange of information.

“The Reserve Bank, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on ‘Supervisory Cooperation and Exchange of Supervisory Information’ with Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL),” RBI said in a release on Friday.

The RBI has been signing MoUs with supervisors of other countries to promote greater co-operation and sharing of supervisory information between the two supervisors, it added.

With this, the Reserve Bank has now executed nineteen such MoUs.

The MoU with CBSL was inked by P Samarasiri, Secretary to the Monetary Board, Central Bank of Sri Lanka and G Gopalakrishna, Executive Director, RBI.
