Paradip Port Trust, on Wednesday, said it was in the process of resuming normal operation as was in the pre-Phailin period.
The port resumed movement and berthing of ships after the harbour was ready to handle vessels up to 13 metres draught.
“Inward and outward movement of vessels of 14.5 meters draught will be allowed after completion of survey of approach channel,” the port said in a statement.
“The port operation has become normal having four vessels berthed on Monday and six more vessels berthing on Tuesday.
Night navigation
“Night navigation in the port will be restored shortly after repair of transit lights and buoys for the approach channel,” it maintained. Railway operation at the mechanised coal handling plant was restored. According to the port, it had had invoked cyclone contingency plan after the Indian Meteorological Department predicted the severity of Phailin.
