Crayon group buys 80 p.c. stake in Kryptos Network

Kryptos will function as Crayon’s back office in India and handle back-end processes for its global clientele.

Norway-based Crayon group has announced its entry into the Indian market by acquiring 80 per cent stake in Kryptos Network, a licensing and Cloud advisory company based in Chennai.

Kryptos will function as Crayon’s back office in India and handle back-end processes for its global clientele.

With this acquisition, the Crayon group is planning to expand Kryptos’ presence from four cities to seven in India and double its headcount to 100 consultants by the end of the current fiscal. Crayon group is a global leader in software asset management (SAM) with presence in 23 countries. Crayon offers licences from Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec, Citrix, VMware, Oracle, IBM and others.

A company news release quoted Kryptos CEO Prasanna Ram as saying the merger will benefit the company’s existing Indian clientele, who are looking to expand outside India.
