Nissan Motor clocked sales of 33,000 in 2011-12 and 37,000 units in 2012-13, he informed.

The company today rolled out two variants of its hatchback Micra Active and New Micra here.

The company has been able to sell 43,000 units of Micra since its launch in the year 2010. “With the launch of new models of Micra, its share in total sales will expand from 35 to 50 per cent,” he said.

Nissan Motor, which currently has 1.5 per cent market share in country’s passenger car market, has plans to roll out 10 new models by 2016-17, aiming to cover all the segments in automotive industry. “We have already launched Sunny CVT and now we are launching two variants of Micra.
