Narayana Health acquires Westbank Hospitals

City-based tertiary care hospital Narayana Health, on Monday, announced the acquisition of Westbank Hospital in Kolkata.

As part of the acquisition, Narayana Health (NH) will takeover the two hospital units of Westbank in Howrah.

This is the second acquisition by the NH group in West Bengal in the year, earlier it acquired Jubilant’s hospital business in Barasat and Berhampore.

With the buyout, Narayana Health has completely taken over the management of the 150- bed Westbank Hospital Unit-I and 240-bed Westbank Hospital Unit-II in Howrah. “Post this acquisition, NH will offer comprehensive cancer care facilities at Westbank, in addition to the upgradation of the other tertiary care specialities there,” Narayana Health said in a press release.
