September 27, 2013 10:45 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 12:13 am IST - CHENNAI:

myBskool, an online management education venture, is planning to raise fresh money through private equity to part-fund its plan to expand the portfolio of business courses across verticals.

The company has already initiated parleys with prospective investors. It is hoping to raise around $3 million. The company, it may be noted, has raised $1 million from angel investor, K B Chandrashekar, as seed funding.

myBskool entered the fast-emerging massive open online courses (MOOCs) segment early this year by offering an online mini-MBA.

The programme is offered in partnership with Madras Management Association (MMA).

The content is co-created by IIM, Ranchi. myBskool is basically a platform that blends the rigours of a premium B-school classroom with the flexibility of distance education, said K. Swaminathan, founder – CEO, myBskool.com.
