MTS to launch smartphones

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited, which provides telecom services under the MTS brand, said that it is planning to launch smartphones and tablets on 3GPLUS network by the end of 2013.

Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, after launching the next generation MBlaze ultra dongle on its 3GPLUS telecom network, Suresh S. Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Tamil Nadu circle, said the state-of-the-art network was geared to offer data speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps, powered by evolution-data optimised (EV-DO) Rev. B. phase II technology.
