Vishnu Agrawal, Director-Finance of Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has been given additional charge as Managing Director of the company.
On Friday, the company informed Bombay Stock Exchange that Mr. Agrawal took over from P.P. Upadhya, who superannuated on July 31.
Mr. Agrawal has been serving as Director-Finance on the board of MRPL from April 2011 and was holding additional charge of HR till recently. He also serves on the boards of Shell MRPL Aviation Fuels and Services Ltd and Mangalore SEZ Ltd as Director, a release from the company said.
Industry coordinator for import of crude oil from Iran, he has been instrumental in maintaining uninterrupted crude supplies from Iran, even during turbulent times, the release said. Prior to MRPL, he was with ONGC and Indian Oil Corporation.
