MCA floats Company Law Settlement Scheme

August 13, 2014 11:18 pm | Updated 11:18 pm IST - CHENNAI:

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has floated ‘Company Law Settlement Scheme 2014’ that provides one-time opportunity for defaulting companies to file their annual statutory documents. The scheme will be in force for two months from Friday.

The defaulting company has to pay statutory filing fees along with 25 per cent of the actual additional fee payable on the date of filing of each belated document. An official statement said that the scheme provided an opportunity even to inactive companies to get their companies declared as a dormant company by filing a simple application at reduced fees.
