Tabtor Math, a tablet-based math-teaching app for kindergartners through eighth graders has raised $3.7 million in a funding round led by US-based venture capital firm Syven Capital. John Katzman, founder of The Princeton Review has also joined the company as an investor as part of the funding round.
“Tabtor is a smart, focused new option for students who want to accelerate their progress in math, and I'm excited to be a part of it,” said Mr. Katzman in a statement. The start-up which has offices in Bengaluru and New Jersey, gives tutors and parents the ability to “rewind” a student's work and watch the steps the student followed to reach their solution.
“Tabtor's availability of tutoring via iPads and Android tablets has transformed the entire tutoring landscape across the world,” said Manipal group scion Ranjan Pai, an investor in Tabtor.
