Manjushree Technopack net profit up 73 p.c. on beverage segment demand

Plastic packaging solutions provider Manjushree Technopack Ltd on Monday announced a 73 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30 2014.

The net profit was Rs.15.8 crore as against Rs.9.13 crore it had registered in the corresponding quarter of 2013-14.

According to the results, net income was 38 per cent higher at Rs.169 crore (Rs.122.15 crore).

In a press release, managing director Vimal Kedia attributed the spike in profits to the continued upsurge in demand from the beverage and packaged drinking water segments. This apart, increased exposure to new verticals like dairy, pharma and liquor also aided growth, he said.
