Mahindra Holidays total income rises by 9 per cent

Leisure holiday provider Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd., (MHRIL) has posted total income of Rs.254 crore for the first quarter of the current fiscal against Rs.234 crore, marking an increase of nine per cent.Earnings before interest, depreciation, taxation and amortization (EBIDTA) improved by 11 per cent year-on-year basis at Rs.62 crore. The company’s profit after tax stood at Rs.30 crore, which was 20 per cent more than the corresponding year-ago period. Talking to reporters, MHRIL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kavinder Singh said they are putting up two green field resorts and expand two existing ones over the next two to three years at a cost of Rs.550 crore to Rs.600 crore.
