Mahindra gets order for 630 vehicles from Indian govt

Mahindra & Mahindra, a part of the $16.2 billion Mahindra Group, on Friday said it has received an order for a fleet of 630 vehicles from the Indian government.

These vehicles would be purchased by the Government of India (GOI) for gifting to the Government of Nepal as a support for the upcoming Constitutional Assembly elections and will be delivered to the Election Commission in Nepal and the Home Ministry, the company said in a statement.

The vehicles will be utilised by the Security Forces, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and as part of the convoy. Elections are planned to be held in Nepal on November 19, 2013.
