LMW to focus on existing product line

Textile machinery manufacturer Lakshmi Machine Works will continue to focus on the existing product line and exports, its Director (Finance) R. Rajendran said. Exports during 2013-14 almost doubled in terms of value and also increased in terms of volume. The company invested $12.5 million last year in its China plant and plans to expand the range of products made there for the Chinese market. LMW’s total revenue increased 16 per cent in 2013-14 to Rs.2,338 crore from Rs.2,017 crore. Its net profit went up to Rs.189 crore from Rs.130 crore.
