Jet to fly daily from Abu Dhabi to Chennai

The new service will connect Chennai to several global destinations across Europe and Africa via Abu Dhabi

Jet Airways has announced the introduction of a daily flight from Abu Dhabi to Chennai effective January 16, 2014 to further enhance connectivity between India and the capital of UAE.

This flight was initially announced on December 16, when Jet Airways said that it would operate daily flights from Chennai and Kochi to Dammam from January 15, 2014. The flight from Chennai was to be operated via Abu Dhabi.

Jet Airways flight 9W 525 will depart Abu Dhabi at 1045 hrs and arrive into Chennai at 1615 hrs (Local Time), offering onward connections on the domestic network.

The return flight 9W 526 will depart Chennai at 2015 hrs and arrive at Abu Dhabi at 2325 hrs (Local Time). Passengers from Chennai will now have the option of connecting not only to Abu Dhabi, but to several destinations of their choice in Europe and Africa, when they transit over Abu Dhabi on Etihad Airways, the airline said.

Jet Airways is currently operating daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai and Kuwait, the airline said.
