Jet Airways and IndiGo have come out with low fare offers to counter SpiceJet’s flash sale of 500,000 tickets and to stimulate demand.

Jet Airways is offering all inclusive economy class return tickets starting Rs. 4459 in the Goa-Mumbai-Goa sector. A low fare Bengaluru-Chandigarh-Bengaluru sector ticket is priced at Rs. 11,722. Under this scheme, tickets need to be booked 30 days in advance for travel on or before March 31, 2015.

IndiGo is offering low fare tickets from Mumbai starting Rs. 1799 for Ahmedabad. A ticket to Kolkata can be purchased at Rs. 4284.

Meanwhile, SpiceJet on Thursday said that its booking volume surged 400 per cent on the first day of its latest super sale offer.
