It’s glitterati galore at Delhi Auto Expo

Sachin Tendulkar, Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Ravi Shastri among those unveiling different brands

High on-style bikes and cars with enchanting looks were not the only things that made heads turn at the 12th Delhi Auto Expo. Bollywood celebrities, cricketers and singers were there to add to the glamour quotient at the mega event.

The first day (February 5) saw a lot of action at the pavilion of Tata Motors’ British marquee brand Jaguar and Land Rover with actor Priyanka Chopra unveiling the long-wheelbase Range Rover, dubbed the most expensive model at the Expo. Narain Karthikeyan, India’s first F1 driver, was also present to launch the much-awaited Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe.

Luxury car maker BMW’s stands saw crowds going crazy when it invited sports icon and Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar to unveil its hybrid car i8. Kareena Kapoor was also at the Expo to unveil two cars by automotive design firm DC design.

The country’s largest two-wheeler maker, on the second day, invited its brand ambassador, actor Ranbir Kapoor, to launch two scooters. On Friday, Yamaha Motor India invited John Abraham to its display area.
