Tobacco major and diversified FMCG conglomerate ITC Ltd will kick-off three greenfield projects in West Bengal next week.

Entailing an estimated investment of more than Rs. 3,000 crore, these projects would cover food and IT sectors, according to sources who did not wish to be identified.

The projects would mark the first such major investment by the company in the State since it set up the ITC Sonar Hotel in 2002-03.

The two food projects are at Panchla and Uluberia in Howrah District while the IT project is located at Rajarhat, near here.

A new 500-key hotel, which may be named ITC Royal Bengal, is now under implementation besides the existing one. These projects have been in the pipeline for some time now but had got delayed due to problems.
