The next round of talks on bipartite settlement for wage revision for bank employees and officers will be held between the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) and United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) in Mumbai on March 3.

This was stated by UFBU convenor M.V. Murali after the conclusion of the Unions' meeting in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The meeting was held to take stock of the situation arising after the conclusion of 48-hour all India bank strike and to chalk out further course of action.

All India Bank Employees’ Association general secretary C.H. Venkatachalam said: “We will take part in the negotiations as we are hoping for further improvement in the offer made by the management.”

In the last round of talks, the management refused to further increase its offer of 10 per cent of pay slip cost. But it was rejected by the banks employees and officers and they were forced to go on a nation wide strike on February 10-11. The success rate of strike rate was more than 97 per cent in most of the banks, he said.
