Hyundai unveils new Elantra at Rs. 12.99 lakh

Hyundai Motor India on Tuesday introduced the all new sixth generation Elantra at an introductory price of Rs.12.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While the petrol variants with a new 2-litre engine are priced between Rs.12.99 lakh and Rs.17.99 lakh, diesel cars come with a 1.6-litre engine priced in the range of Rs.14.79 lakh to Rs.19.19 lakh. Hyundai Motor India MD & CEO Y.K. Koo said, “We already have attained significant market share in the SUV segment. With Elantra, we will further strengthen our market share in the country.” The company has so far sold 11.5 million units of Elantra globally, ever since the sedan was launch in 1990.
