Hewlett-Packard on Wednesday introduced four servers in its ProLiant server series, priced in the range of USD 449-899 and said these will help SMBs simplify the deployment, management and maintenance of their IT infrastructure, accelerating business.

"SMBs can be challenged by limited financial and human resources when responding to growing customer demands and evolving business needs. Small enterprises need simple, scalable and cost effective solutions," HP India Director ISS Vikram K said here.

According to global strategy consulting firm AMI Partners, at least 5.1 million small businesses worldwide will purchase their first server within the next 5 years, he said.

The company will start selling these servers through its channel partners from this month.
