Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), on Monday, launched an all-new Activa 125, its first 125cc automatic scooter in the country.
Activa 125 is priced at Rs.56,607 for standard variant and Rs.62,588 for the deluxe variant, ex-showroom, Mumbai.
The all-new Activa 125 is developed to retain both existing automatic scooter customers who want to upgrade their ride and add new customers who now want much more from Honda, the company said. Activa 125 combines power, mileage, comfort and advanced features in the segment.
“The automatic scooter segment’s contribution to overall two-wheeler sales in India has grown exponentially from 16 per cent in 2009-10 to 24 per cent today, indicating the growing demand in this segment,” said Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, HMSI.
“Propelled by new third plant near Bangalore, Honda is all set to excite customers with new products with speed. In this background, Activa 125 is Honda’s next strategic step towards reinforcing its market leadership and facilitating Indians to step up their daily ride for more power,” Mr Muramatsu said.

The 125cc engine of Activa 125 delivers net power of 6.4kw (8.6 BHP) @ 6500 rpm and torque of 10.12Nm@5500 RPM. “Climbing roads become joyrides with Activa 125’s best in class climbing capability of 23O” the company said.
Honda through its Eco Technology has managed to increase mileage of this scooter to 59 kmpl (Certified I-CAT mileage). The new scooter has been launched in four colours such as Pearl Sunbeam White, Midnight Blue Metallic, Asteroid Black Metallic and Force Silver Metallic.
