Godrej Industries sustains growth in Q4

Operating profit was up 66 per cent at Rs.196 crore.

Godrej Industries, the consumer products major with diversified business interests, on Wednesday reported a 22 per cent growth in net profit for the fourth quarter of 2013-14 at Rs.114 crore. Total income rose 41 per cent to Rs.2,082 crore. Operating profit was up 66 per cent at Rs.196 crore.

Godrej Properties (GPL) registered its highest ever quarterly sales with total booking value up 149 per cent to Rs.1,066 crore during the fourth quarter of 2013-14.

For the whole of 2013-14, the company reported a lower net profit of Rs.326 crore (Rs.391 crore) but excluding exceptional items, the growth was 26 per cent.

Total income rose 13 per cent to Rs.8,143 crore with operating profit growing 15 per cent to Rs.683 crore. The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs.1.75 per share.
