Ford, on Friday, unveiled its new compact sports utility vehicle—the EcoSport.
Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director (marketing, sales and services), Ford India, said, “the company has gone live with this SUV, unlocking the first of its kind opportunity for hundred consumers to drive the vehicle and share their experience.”
The company also announced the launch of a campaign for the EcoSport, which would kick off from May.
“After completion of the campaign, the company will formally launch EcoSport in the Indian market. Most probably by June end it will be launched,” a source said.
Under the advertising campaign, the company will choose 100 consumers who will get the opportunity to drive the vehicle and share their experiences.
Ford India President and Managing Director Joginder Singh said the 100 consumers would be selected by a jury. The participants have to upload their views about the vehicle on www.ecosportdiscoveries.co.in, which would be evaluated by the jury.
The campaign will be held in 12 cities starting from Delhi and Mumbai. It will be a kind of roadshow. “Consumers across these cities will have an opportunity to see, touch and feel their EcoSport every weekend leading up to the launch,” he said.
“We have taken a step further by giving them an opportunity to drive and experience the EcoSport out in the open and share their product experience,” said Mr. Singh.
