EID Parry’s third quarter loss widens

EID Parry India has reported increase in net loss at Rs.42.8 crore during the third quarter ended December 31, 2014 against the net loss of Rs.12.5 crore in a year-ago period, on the back of operating losses. Third quarter is always described as a challenging period for the company. However, its net sales grew by 30 per cent to Rs.479.60 crore during the third quarter of this financial year when compared with Rs.368.59 crore a year ago.

On a consolidated basis, the company reported a net loss of Rs.13.22 crore as against a net profit of Rs.15.15 crore in a year-ago quarter. Net sales was up 11 per cent at Rs.3577.53 crore as against Rs.3214.02 crore.
